It’s been a whopping 24 years since I’ve been to this live music club!
I haven’t been here since October 3, 1998, when I went with Freakz for SLAYER’s solo concert!
Back then, the doors opened late and we had to wait in the parking lot for a long time.
On this day, the doors opened on time.
I guess there were about 300 people there.
As I entered the venue, I started to remember more and more.
There was this annoying pillar.
Recently, many live music clubs don’t serve beer.
But on this day, they served beer!
I had two beers before the show started!
The show started at exactly 16:45.
Dancho of NoGoD appeared.
There was a curtain on the main stage, and a small stage
in front of it, which was used as a sub-stage.
Dancho of NoGoD appeared with his bare face and performed 3 songs on the guitar.
He had lost his wallet the day before, and he included it in the lyrics of his songs.
It was both funny and good.
There was almost no waiting time because the sub stage was set up while the band was performing.
Next up was a Tokusatsu show.
It’s been a long time.
I saw they perform with “Hanawa” at Shinjuku Loft before.
I think it was the last time I saw them?
Not sure.
Ohtsuki Kenji is kind of energetic.
We didn’t speak loudly, so when he said “Neko Neko Neko Neko” to the audience, we raises our hand like a cat.
Inu Inu Inu Inu” we raises our hands like Pac-Man.
Everyone has their own way of doing it.
In no particular order
Abel Cain
Migawari-Marie Substitute Marie
Hey! Buddy
Seaside-Bijutsu-kan Seaside Art Museum
Piano Death Piano
Satsujin God of Killing
Angra People Summer Holiday
Ketelby
It’s been a while since I’ve seen a tokusatsu show, but I’d go back again in a heartbeat.
Next up on the sub stage was
Zetsurin☆Haguki
I thought they looked like they would be in a Satsugai event.
The song was rather decent.
They were singing a song about Ushiku Daibutsu, and I really enjoyed it, because I had climbed inside Ushiku Daibutsu more than ten years ago and had done sutra chanting.
Next up was Ningen Isu.
When they perform at an event, they tend to play their famous songs
I guess it can’t be helped…
I wanted at least one rare song.
I thought they might play something related to Neputa, but alas.
The performance was great as usual.
Next up
Onan Spellmermaid, a drag queen appeared next.
I didn’t understand what he/she was doing, but seemed to be trying his/her best.
The last was Metronome.
I’ve seen Sharak before as a guest at a show of Shine-Shine-Dan.
At the time, I thought he was doing the same thing as “Chusotsu”, but I guess he was just doing it because he was a guest of the “Shine-Shine-Dan”.
He didn’t usually act like that.
I haven’t seen them in over a decade, but they don’t look any different.
I didn’t know the song, but I liked it, partly because of the flashy costumes.
After the show, there was a line to buy metronome goods.
SEX MACHINEGUNS was originally scheduled to perform. I was very disappointed that they had to cancel the show because SUSSY and SHINGO☆ were diagnosed with coronavirus.
I ended up drinking 6 beers, but it’s been a long time since I’ve been to a small festival like this.
It was fun to see them live show.
I hope the time when I can enjoy without a mask will come soon.
